No 4 Tactical is your Premier Firearms Training Center in Northern New York. Located on 11 Acres in Central Lewis County, it is ideally suited for all your training needs. Sporting a 25 yard tactical handgun range and a 100 yard rifle range just out back of the Gun shop and Classroom.
Here at No 4 Tactical, we take Safety very seriously and all classes are run strictly adhering to the NRA safe firearm handling guidelines.

Pistol Shooting Refresher
$70/hour - for 1 student
$90/hour - for 2 students
$100/hour - for 3 students
Class size: Min 1 Max 3
For those shooters who need a little practice with an NRA certified instructor, either 1 on 1 or with a couple friends. As a refresher, most students only need about 1 hour, but you can schedule however much time you like.

NRA Personal Protection in the Home
$200 - 8 hours - Classroom and range

RECOMMENDED FOR THOSE INDIVIDUALS KEEPING A FIREARM IN THE HOME FOR PROTECTION
Teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to the safe and efficient use of a handgun for protection of self and family, and to provide information on the law-abiding individual’s right to self-defense.
This is an eight-hour course. Students should expect to shoot approximately 100 rounds of ammunition. Students will learn basic defensive shooting skills, strategies for home safety and responding to a violent confrontation, firearms and the law, how to choose a handgun for self-defense, and continued opportunities for skill development.
NRA Personal Protection Outside the Home $280 - 14 hours - Classroom and range

RECOMMENDED FOR THOSE INDIVIDUALS WITH AN UNRESTRICTED PISTOL PERMIT WHO INTEND TO CARRY A CONCEALED FIREARM. (TAKEN AFTER COMPLETION OF PERSONAL PROTECTION IN THE HOME)
Teaches students the knowledge, skills and attitude essential for avoiding dangerous confrontations and for the safe, effective and responsible use of a concealed pistol for self-defense outside the home.
Day one is nine-hours and offers the essential knowledge and skills that must be mastered in order to carry, store, and use a firearm safely and effectively for personal protection outside the home. Students spend several hours on the range and shoot approximately 100 rounds of ammunition during day one. During day two, which is an additional five hours on the range and approximately 115 rounds of ammunition students learn advanced shooting skills.
Advanced Defensive Pistol
$170 - 7 hours - Classroom and range

Teaches the knowledge, skills, and attitude to carry and use a concealed pistol ethically, responsibly, and with confidence.
NRA Range Safety Officer
$140 - 9 hours - Classroom
Class size: Min 4 Max 12 (Must be 21 years of age)
GEARED TOWARDS INDIVIDUALS IN CHARGE OF SHOOTING RANGE SAFETY
Develops NRA Certified Range Safety Officers with the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to organizing, conducting, and supervising safe shooting activities and range operations.
This course is nine hours long and is conducted in a classroom and at a shooting facility. Range Safety Officer candidates will learn roles and responsibilities of an RSO; Range Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); range inspection; range rules; range briefings; emergency procedures; and firearm stoppages and malfunctions.
Range Practice
$12/hour
At certain times during the year No 4 Tactical holds non-instructional range practices under the supervision of an NRA Certified Range Safety Officer. You get to shoot steel & paper targets on your own or in fun competition with others. Your choice.
